Presenting
Information in different ways-
Different ways of presenting information include static websites such as the Apple websites and school websites, which stay the same for around 1 year at a time before it is updated. Other websites such as Top shop and other clothing websites will change roughly every week/ every other week. Other ways of presenting information include visual, sound, audio and text information. Visual information is based around video; this is a way of presenting information online as people can view this and also collects data on views etc. Both sound and audio are very similar as they inform people over the internet on a computer/smart phone, except they do not offer visual aid. Text information is very singular as it requires the audience to read some text to gather information rather than it is ‘handed’ to them.
The different ways in which information is presented are
both very good and can have their down falls, websites such as Top Shop are
constantly updating their website and so this leaves room for errors to be made
and can then mislead customers. Occurrences such as missed out information or
wrong information being placed in certain places has led to people buying
products under the wrong impression and have therefore got a product that they
did not want/expect. Therefore sites such as the Apple Store are very good as
the same information, same products and same pictures are on the site for
around 1 year at a time when the whole website is updated accurately. So, I
think that both kinds have their advantages and disadvantages but it is up to
each individual person to choose which they would prefer to use.
I think search engines have enabled an easy way in using search terms to find millions of matching items, which is good for newer businesses and for any website using marketing techniques.
ReplyDeletevery informative and useful. It's fitting to the type of thing you would expect to read through a blog but could be more spaced out and use more pictures. Breaking into paragraphs would be easier to read. But all in all very informative and a good read.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to present information is by video because anyone can watch the video and collect information from it and there is also the use of imagery so it's easier to describe something.
ReplyDeleteThe way that the internet has become more user friendly enables there to be more websites, with them all laid out differently with different concepts. I agree with what you all say in that it makes is a lot more accessible for us and that there are many different platforms in the way it works.
